Under the direction of the Cahén Foundation, I used Eastern maple wood to create four profiles to best suit these Oscar Cahén works. The dark frame is derived from a Picasso-style frame, with a polished finish described by Michael Cahén as “a worn and well-used butt of a hunter’s gun”. The off-white rectilinear frame and the combination of line and form is intended to complement Cahén’s lighter graphic designed images.
