My collaboration with Ian Thom, curator and Emily Carr historian, resulted in frame profiles based on one of Mr. Audain’s existing Emily Carr frames from the 1930s. These two profiles accompany several Emily Carr images which are on display at the Audain Art Museum, Whistler, B.C., www.audainartmuseum.com. We used a larger version of the profile for the oil paintings, and reduced it for the works on paper, which are contained within 4” mat surrounds.
